Worth the money - Dogs

I bought a small size for my 26.5 Lange boots and they fit great after doing the Cat Tracks soaked in hot water to make them more flexible. They provide some cushioning when walking on hard surfaces and fit nicely in my bag when not in use.

Pros
  • FITS ALL LARGE BOOTS - Recommended by all major shoe and binding manufacturers
Cons
  • Weak Kit

Not modified for decades

The product has not been modified for decades. Still difficult to put on, but still the best all-round product to protect ski boot soles from wear and tear. Also safer than wearing nothing at all when walking on slippery surfaces. Some examples of personal modifications online that improve the product.

Pros
  • Velcro
Cons
  • Doubtful

Save your soles!: Dogs

These smart devices will really save your boot soles when you have to trudge through parking lots to get to the slopes. Not only that, they make walking on snowy/icy roads a lot safer. Only downside is they are a bit difficult to put on so I keep them on my boots even when I'm not using them so I don't have to stop and put them on in the resort cold. They're easier to put on when they're warm. Of course you can't ski with it.

Pros
  • EXTENDS THE LIFE OF YOUR BOOTS - Cat Tracks Improve traction and extend the life of your ski boots with this outsole for your boots
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Good light protection but difficult to put on

I use two different types of protective soles on my boots. Cat caterpillars Seirus and Yaktrax SkiTrax. Seirus caterpillars are much lighter, smaller, and easier to transport. A nice feature when you get to the slopes and shoot your tracks for the day. My main issue is that they are very difficult to put on, the tongues are smaller and they need a good stretch before they snap onto the shoe. I've tried following the advice of heating them in water and leaving them in a boot overnight, but thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • So far so good

Very important. Extends the life of my ski boots.

Was told to get them after the shoe shop noticed that the heel of my ski boots was worn out. According to other reviewers and instructions, you should leave them in hot water and then pull them over your boots. It won't work if you try to just slip them over your boots without first warming them up in hot water. If you don't wear them for a while after the initial stretch, they will be difficult to put back on. Haven't tried them in cold weather yet but I suspect they'll be very difficult toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • PREVENTS TROUBLESHOOTING - Caused by wear and abrasion on the soles of the boots
Cons
  • Communication with seller
