The best sound with a good headphone amp.

Reliable headphones. But you must have the right source. My iPhone X is not the correct source. I had to play around with the EQ settings to get it sounding good to my ears. But I hooked them up to my combination of Shia Magni and Modi and then they come alive.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Little things

IE 80's are great but many of the items listed in the description did not come with the box. I've never had ear hooks, a cleaning/bass tuning tool, and instead of various tip sizes, I only have Comply's medium-sized foam tips.

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

An improved version of the outdated IE80.

I have both IE80 and IE80S. The latter usually has finer vocal reproduction and a bit more sparse bass. Build quality is not that good; The IE80 has an L-shaped connector and a solid cover on the back of the headphones, while the IE80S has a straight connector and a thicker cable. I would recommend the IE80S to fans of classical, jazz, soundtracks and classic rock.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Doubt

Better than IE 80

Price dropped to $214, how could I resist? Stereo separation on this new Model S is way better, way better. It's worth buying for that alone. Bass response is the same, if not slightly better. I've noticed that they require a bit more power to run than the old IE 80, which isn't a big deal. They should definitely be paired with the Comply 600 foam tips!* Update: I just switched the cable to a copper braided cable and my new IE 80S earbuds didn't work! I found that the cable sockets have to be…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Uhh Excellent imo very glad I spent the money

Firstly mine was unopened, contained everything and was registered online with no problems. Now. I'm a huge fan! I don't use any other headphones or speakers because nothing compares to them. It ruined them all, but I'm not complaining. They have a very heavy bass but I don't mind and don't think it ruins the song but I like the bass. I also had 1 pair of Sennheiser headphones. before that HD1. Both have very clear left and right ears and you can tell what layers (lead vocals, backgrounds etc.)

Pros
  • Unique manual tone adjustment feature allows you to adjust the bass frequency response to personal preference
Cons
  • boring packaging

Absolutely amazing IE please read my notes

They have a very flat sound signature (audiophile). They can be easily controlled by mobile phone with good output power. The key is that you have to use the equalizer on your phone. The soundstage is ok, definitely not too big but defined. Use your phone's equalizer to delve deeper into instrument or vocals while actively exploring what you've been missing from well-known songs. I recommend Bob Marley Legend as a good place to start. Some incredible guitar parts and backing vocals are worth…

Pros
  • Connection Technology: Wired
Cons
  • Some bugs

For audiophiles who love bass and soundstage

I am a huge Sennheiser fan and have had many of their mid to high end products. I had original IE8s, IE80s and ie80s sharing the sound with them. The Good: Tireless sound, amazing soundstage, comfort and classic Sennheiser warmth. Great for bass lovers, it hits deep and the mid bass doesn't encroach on other areas. Vocals have sparks and high frequencies are never harsh. Cons: Adjusting the bass will muffle and bloat sounds in the headphones. The mids are a little too relaxed and don't offer…

Pros
  • Rugged body and durable interchangeable cable with Sennheiser's famous 2-pin connector for customization
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
