There are two needs for case protection and handling. I'm a stroke victim, I have a movable arm. Therefore, protection is secondary to conversion. When holding with one hand, a hold on the body is vital. To keep it from slipping and holding tight. It does a great job. Being an introvert I ordered another case which was more expensive but it was slippery and didn't suit my needs. As for protection, I only need a small hem for the frontal protection it offers. The cover is full of junk. Buttons, volume control and lock in the case only work with difficulty. In fact, you have to press hard to increase or decrease the volume or lock the screen. I've had many drawers of Apple products, but this one is complete junk.

Overall, this case fits the iPad Mini well. The problem is the molded button covers. They don't fit the keys exactly and interfere with operation through unwanted pressure. Any movement while handling the iPad and the volume will automatically go to the maximum position. Very annoying and unstoppable. I've tried removing/putting the cover on multiple times but to no avail. Finally I gave in and removed the cover.

I wanted something simple, elegant and understated. My iPad isn't treated too roughly, it's used for school and extracurricular activities, it's usually on the iPad stand when I'm reading or on my desk. If not, then up your sleeve. If you are looking for SUPERIOR drop protection, look no further as it is thin. But it will still work with a slight fall. I love that I can tuck it up my sleeve and it's not too tight.

Excellent fit and finish. The material is tacky enough to hold the iPad comfortably with one hand - no slipping, but not too grippy either. You will have a hard time beating him for money. This is my favorite iPad case - simple, relatively cheap, but well made and very effective in my opinion.
