The glass is peeling off around the frame

I bought a pair of Bormio 8166 sunglasses last August and noticed that the glass is peeling off around the frame on the left side. I left a message to Serengeti support but never got a reply! I've had other pairs that have lasted for many years. This is the first time I encounter this problem.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Last Pair Sunglasses

I bought these sunglasses in June 2021 and was disappointed with their poor quality but did not return them. Now I want to have! The plastic bail next to the strap simply broke after getting caught in my pocket and there is no way to fix it. Expensive sunglasses now end up in the trash after just three months. That's it, no more Serengeti sunglasses.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Lens Flakes Around Frame

I bought a pair of Bormio 8166 sunglasses last August. I noticed that the lens is peeling off on the left side around the frame. I left a message to Serengeti support but never got a reply! I've had other pairs that have lasted for many years. This is the first time I encounter this problem.

Pros
  • The Serengeti's superior polarization eliminates fatigue, discomfort, strabismus and blurred vision associated with all forms of glare. Polarization is only available on some models.
Cons
  • Not sure

What happened?! for men

I've worn Serengeti sunglasses since the 80's. I love my Serengeti. One of my sunglasses lasted almost 40 years. When my frame broke, I ordered these glasses. I was very happy with my glasses. I opened the box and was really disappointed. The glasses I received look like they came from a dollar store. Not the quality I expect from the Serengeti! I returned them. Very disappointed!

Pros
  • Polarized
Cons
  • Contact Seller

NOT the Serengeti I know and love

I've been buying Serengeti sunglasses since the early 90's and every pair I've had have been of high quality and lasted 10-15 years. I don't know if this is the 'new' quality from Serengeti after the brand sold out or something else but these frames are nowhere near the quality I've come to expect from Serengeti and they aren't my price value. paid for them. I knew I was buying plastic frames - my previous pairs had plastic frames. But this plastic is a cheap, somewhat flexible vinyl plastic…

Pros
  • Plastic frame
Cons
  • No effect
