Works well until it breaks, then no support

I used this VNA for about a year and a half and was pleased with it. But a few days ago, in the middle of doing an antenna measurement, the display went blank/white. Rebooting had no effect, updating firmware had no effect. It still interfaces with computer display software, but the screen has failed. There is no manufacturer site for support, and the non-clone forums waive any knowledge of it.So - my replacement for this unit will not be from this manufacturer. A contact point is important.

Pros
  • Test, Measure & Inspect
Cons
  • The connectors may wear out quickly with frequent use

There’s more to this device than’s in the can

I experiment with all my antenna configurations and dollar for dollar this is the best purchase for checking my configurations. Its a bit rough round the edges and the instructions are vague at best but its a great tool.

Pros
  • I had to go to a you tube to see how to use. Good construction.
Cons
  • The Set Of 4 AURSINC SAA-2N V2.2 Vector Network Analyzer Calibration Tools are expensive and may not be worth the investment

Looks Good, But No Documentaion or Support

The only documentation is a single sheet of paper for the menu map for the Nano VNA-V2, not the Nano VNA-N2. A Google search found no useful information/documentation on the Nano VNA-N2.

Pros
  • The calibration tools are designed to be durable and long-lasting, minimizing the need for costly repairs or replacements
Cons
  • The set may not come with warranty or customer support options

Best value for rf test equipment

This was shipped with 2 Opens and no Load test pieces. Reached out, and the sent a new set of test pieces to make it right. I've used MFJ antenna analyzers that cost two or three times as much, and this thing blows their socks off. I've probably only learned 10% of what this can do, and still feel like this is a steal. The build quality is great. The touch screen is fairly accurate, even without a stylist. The measurements seem to be extremely accurate. Over all, this rocks, and I am…

Pros
  • The AURSINC SAA-2N V2.2 set is easy to set up and use, even for those who have limited technical expertise
Cons
  • The set may not provide a cost-effective calibration solution compared to other options

Amazingly Useful for my opinion

As a professional engineer I find is necessary to measure transmission lines, matching networks, phasing networks, filters and antennas. Five years ago a device to do what the nanoVNA does would have cost tens of thousands of dollars. Very helpful and a great value for the money. I look forward to the matching PC software that runs in concert with it to mature.

Pros
  • The calibration tools are lightweight and easy to handle, making them ideal for use in confined spaces or in the field
Cons
  • The tools may not be very flexible in terms of their potential applications

Unbelievable 3GHz VNA with 4 " Screen and CAL Hardware

Just arrived today and I am totally blown away by this little compact 3GHz capable VNA for $130 bucks. I am nearly giddy with amazement, because not only is the construction of the product (full metal case) solid built, but hardware is really quite capable. As anyone who has previously purchased the NanoVNA series knows, its very functional for hobby and minor field work. This unit, the SAA-2N V2.2 is the latest in the NanoVNA series which now includes 'N' type RF connections instead of SMA…

Pros
  • The N-Type Male Short calibration tool is designed to reduce the level of reflection that can occur when signals are transmitted or received
Cons
  • The tools may not be suitable for use in crowded or noisy environments

Much better than the original NanoVNA

This is a much better unit than the original. It has a metal case, large 4" touchscreen, and works as expected. Here is a screenshot of testing a 1:9 UnUn on a Ferrite Core from 1-50MHz.

Pros
  • Fantastic as an entry level instrument
Cons
  • The tools are bulky and may be difficult to carry from place to place

This unit is solidly built, has newer brighter screen, GREAT for amateur radio use checking out antenna's and coax feed lines! plus many other applications as well!

Pros
  • The Female To Female Connector is essential for calibrating cables and connectors, ensuring accurate readings every time
Cons
  • The tools may not be compatible with all types of computer interfaces

super useful to a ham. (smelly case)

I wanted and appreciated the N connectors. Everything worked as advertised. The quality of the cables, and connectors are all top notch. Nicer cables then anything I own, and the thing is built like a brick. Battery life is fine. That case though. It's really nice, but smelled so bad, that had to put it on the back porch. And there it lay for a month, baking in the sun, and snow, and rain, and OMG it still smells so bad. Like horrible toxic mess. So that kinda sucks because it would have been…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • The tools may not work with certain types of cables

A must have for repeater owners

This VNA gives you just enough dynamic range to tune duplexers for repeaters. If I can't see the bottom of the notch, I can center them. I have tuned bandpass / reject duplexers on VHF to 900 mhz systems with ease ! Definitely worth it's weight in gold.

Pros
  • good stuff, works
Cons
  • The Female To Female Connector may not work with certain types of cables

Amazing little VNA for the money

This is an amazing VNA for the money. The user interface is easy-to-use. Calibration was easy. You will be measuring S11 and S21 quickly after you power it up. I have not had a chance yet to compare measurements to my $70k VNA at work, but a measurement taken on a coaxial cable was within my expectations. The real power of this little wonder comes when you control it by your PC. Using the software, you can measure S11 and S21 and save to a touchstone file. Reverse the cable and remeasure to find

Pros
  • The AURSINC SAA-2N V2.2 set is an affordable investment in quality equipment that will deliver reliable and accurate results for years to come
Cons
  • The connectors may not provide consistent results over time, leading to inaccurate readings

Failed after very little use

Used the unit a couple times after purchase. Seemed decent and easy to use. Pulled it out and used it a couple times on a new dipole and it failed. In all, I bet I only used it 4 or 5 times and very short durations at that.Screenshot attachment is what I see AFTER calibration. Should be a nice smooth line.1 star because unit seems overly fragile and won't stand-up to even the most basic use.

Pros
  • The set is compatible with a wide range of network analyzers and antennas, making it a versatile and valuable tool
Cons
  • The tools may not be suitable for use with certain types of antennas or devices

Great little test unit

I liked the fact that it has type N connectors, very much more rugged than SMA connectors.I use the NamoVNA to measure antennas and filters.

Pros
  • The Female To Female Connector is perfect for calibrating low-power devices, ensuring accurate readings every time
Cons
  • The tools may not work well with high-speed data applications
