I'm happy with it! when sewing

I first bought this to use with my 1941 Singer 201-2 which had an old school pedal. I can't stand these things! And now I'm the proud owner of a 1961 221k Featherweight that also has an old pedal. This new one works on both! HOORAY!

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Minor problems

Fits and works great with a 1951 Singer Featherweight

I have a 1951 Featherweight. The foot pedal works fine, but the fork came loose from the machine and I had to tape it to secure it. I still have two new machines, but I keep going back to this one my mom taught me to sew on. The new pedal works fantastic. Thank you for providing this for my trusty old Singer.

Pros
  • Something about it
Cons
  • boring packaging

Wow! My late mom would love it!

I have my late mother's 1949 Singer Featherweight 221-1 that I love. But the power cord for the machine and the foot pedal eventually succumbed to aging. So I ordered a Sew-Link Featherweight Foot Control Pedal. It just arrived today and is still working great which is such a relief and a true gift. These vintage featherweight Singer guitars are real treasures and a pleasure to use. Thank you Shewlink! ho

New life for my Singer Featherweight

I have my grandmother's 1940's Featherweight sewing machine. It's a great little workhorse, but the original push-button pedal is awkward to use and I think it loses its appeal. This pedal has made sewing on the machine so much easier and it seems to give the motor more power - I haven't seen this machine sew that fast in years. The plug fits the car snugly and I thought I had the wrong product at first, but with a little persistence I forced it in. I am very happy that I bought it.

Pros
  • Sewing Machine Parts and Supplies
Cons
  • Not sure

Works great

Works great This pedal works great and feels much better than the original push button pedals that came with these Singer machines. If I could change just one thing, I would make the pedal weigh a pound. or two but if you put a little velcro on the bottom of this foot pedal and put it on a small mat I'm sure it will hold it up very well. I haven't tried any solutions to keep the pedal in the same position. smooth and I also have to admit that I have machines that cost around $1000 and in fact…

Pros
  • Parts
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
