I have owned the Sharp FP-A80U-W for about 4 years now and I love this air purifier. Great middle of the road air purification buy. Not a $1,000 unit but not your Walmart $100 unit either. Wow, my old filter was filthy. I think these things do a great job. I think one should replace them annually. May not be as effective for larger rooms or open floor plans.

The right part for my air purifier. $50 is expensive IMO for HEPA filter but I only replace it every 3 years. Appreciate finding it on amazon and speedy delivery. It works!

When replacing the air filters for your FP-A80UW, you must buy both this filter and the activated charcoal filter. Arrives fast, works as expected.Only issue is the price. A bit too high if you have to buy these and the carbon filter once every year or two.

I am only one person and I had to replace the Hepa filter after a month. I am seriously OCD clean and I do smoke 2 or 3 cigarettes a day but 1 month! Very expensive. I had to buy another 4! Not too happy but I’d rather keep the air clean. My sharp unit never goes from green IDK?

I have two different purifiers and one is slightly shorter than the other. So, I cut off the top couple of inches so it will fit and use paper tape to seal the cut area. Works like custom made.

I’ve had this sharpe air purifier for a couple years now. It’s still working great. I took a photo of my old filter next to a brand new one. That old filter is about nine months old. It works good. I just wish the replacement filters weren’t so expensive but I have a lot of animals in the house and this helps me breathe at night.

The attached photo shows one in service for 6 months next to a new one. The new ones smell good :). I set up a subscribe and save, and when a new one comes in, I change it.

Works well, although it's pricey and really does get dirty fast. I supposed that's a comment on the air quality, but I'd hope that the charcoal filters would catch more to keep the HEPA filter lasting longer.I actually added some sheets of carbon/charcoal on top to assist, and so far it's lasting much longer than the first filter I bought.
