Oh! I thought safety razors were supposed to prevent cuts. I followed the directions with all the different balms and creams that came with it. I tried to shave, but the razor didn't cut my hair, just tugged at my sideburns. I had to wash it all off and use the buzzer to trim my mustache so I could try shaving again. I bought this set for my boyfriend and he loves it. I've read reviews that the razor isn't great, which is true, but everything else is fine and chances are your friend already has a good razor so he doesn't care. All in all it smells very good. Great gift!

Brought as a gift to a friend who was very ungrateful. He didn't know how to use such razors and considered it a waste of money. I found the items smelled very nice. I mean he could shave with a different razor and still get the benefits of this wonderful product. Just upside down. Before buying, make sure that the person can use this razor.

I surprised my husband with this gift set and he really liked it. The smell is just fantastic, the shave is perfect. My husband has always used regular Walmart razors and it always left him with razor bumps. These razors are so affordable and work so well. Also, the set was so cute

I have not tried the pre-shave oil so nothing to comment on. I've warmed my neck with water a few times, applied the shaving cream and lathered my entire neck with tons of excess so now I know to touch even brighter next time. He shaved with a razor, literally without squeezing, just stretched his neck and ran the razor over the skin. Washed down to a perfect shave, used an aftershave oil that smells pretty good. Too bad it doesn't come with a razor holder. But I can't complain about the value…

I just started shaving with a safety razor. I wanted a set that wouldn't break the bank but was high enough to give me a good idea of what it's like to shave this way. This is this kit. The only thing I would change is the razors themselves that come with the kit. They're a bit rough (not sure if they're too sharp or not sharp enough).
