I would definitely check the size and maybe order a size bigger than you think. In addition, the skirt has a good length, enough freedom of movement and a fantastic fabric.

Where do I start, I just don't understand all the positive reviews on here. The brown skirt is just terrible quality. None of the buttonholes are sewn on, just a cut in the fabric waiting to be ripped. The fabric is very wrinkled and covered with pieces of pile. The fabric is hard and ugly, I am sending the goods back.

The skirt fits very well. The belt does not stretch, so you need to check your size carefully. When you held it up to the light, you saw some transparency, but nothing that would reveal your underwear or give anyone a peep show. Mine can be an inch loose when the shirt isn't tucked in underneath, but I usually have a sweater or fitted top that holds it up perfectly. Because of the fit and flair, it would be perfect if you had a pear or hourglass shape. I'm 5ft 1in and 140lbs and I have a large.

EDIT: I bought this skirt for $16.99 and see no reason why it's gone up to $19.99. Now I have it in 4 different colors and I love them all but it's not made well enough to be more expensive. I'd recommend waiting for the price to drop if you're thinking of buying. I love this skirt, it fits me perfectly and the length is just amazing considering that high waisted skirts are usually too short for my legs! Ok I missed it but this skirt is really velvety - no problem just wish it was a little more durable. for example when a skirt keeps its structure. but not so fragile that it looks cheap. the only thing that bothers me is the color. It works, just wanted it darker. However, the skirt is CUUUUUUTE in the 5'11 slim fat build. I ordered medium because I like my short and slightly kinky skirts. Returns NOTHING and everything becomes REAL when you close it. I want one in black too
