So far so bad for the electrics

The sweater design is ridiculous. Simply disassemble the device so you can replace it. But why bother? I spent a whole day trying to connect a device. One of the hundreds of times I've tried actually connected. I got it to activate the relay, then it went away and hasn't been able to connect since. No customer service at all. The app is poorly designed.

Works well but not sure

This is a great and easy DIY craft that can be used for any purpose. Be careful, this device is not secure. Their network traffic is clean, and a quick Google search reveals how ignorant the provider is of the benefits of TLS. If you're going to use it for garage doors, you'd better keep your LAN strictly secure, separate from your guest network, and don't reuse passwords for heaven's sake!

The device is UL listed! Easy to set up, works reliably.

Great product! I use many brands of home automation devices and have several Shelly 1 in my house; you control the street lamp in front of the entrance so that it turns off before sunrise and on before nightfall. Much better than a lame bulb with a daylight sensor that doesn't respond well on cloudy mornings. Others are used in conjunction with light switches and Revain Alexa. No issues with Wi-Fi or setup.
