Surprisingly good reel for the price, I've been using it as a stationary reel for a long time and it has never let me down! seems a bit sticky at first but I think it's because there is too much grease in the gears, with use the grease is pushed back and the spool runs as smooth as a Bentley

Bought a size 2500, comes with a great metal handle that winds up very easily, it's light yet very strong as you'd expect from Shimano. The price for such a reel is unbeatable, the only downer is the worst representation of power and line capacity.

This little reel can't be beat for the price. Super light with gentle oil effect, durable and comfortable to use. Absolute deal.

Arrived quickly but the Shimano decal around the reel is all crumpled up and looks awful so the whole reel looks awful. Doesn't match the usual Shimano quality at all. The line lies normally on the reel. Feels great not to use yet. But 110% disappointed because of the sticker. It just makes the role cheap and terrible. I wouldn't say it's a new product based on the sticker.

This is the third Shimano Hyperloop I own. I lost the other two over the ship's side. 100% user error! Great reels for the price (although they've gone up in price since I first got them about 5 years ago. I think that's a testament to how popular they are). Easy to use and very well made. Looks more expensive than it is. Mine didn't seize up with salt water like other cheap coils I've had. Ideal for spin fishing for mackerel from the bank, float fishing or shallow water fishing from the boat…

Smooth as a baby's bottom. Good price. Haven't used it yet but bought it for my boyfriend last year and he caught his first carp with it, very happy. My previous Shimano is over 20 years old and still as smooth as the day I bought it. I hope this one fits. Bought to replace my old Mitchell 304 which I am throwing away after decades of excellent service but not for bigger fish.

I bought this reel after reading many positive reviews. This reel was packaged well and honestly I was expecting it to be a bit larger (but this size is perfect for a 6-7 foot web). I have used this reel a few times and am very impressed with the quality and performance of this Shimano reel. .If you are looking for a small spinning reel that is strong enough to fight big fish, then this product is for you.

The neck is big. The hands are tense. But quite wide around the gut. Kinda freaked out. I wish it would fit well as it is a nice shirt on a hanger where it will probably stay.
