These Shires masks are the BEST I have found to protect my horses ears from flies, mosquitoes and ticks and also to protect my bald head from sunburn. My color also had eye surgery and these masks are the only ones sticking out of his eyes despite all the extra swelling. The mesh is stiff (great as it won't dig into your eyes) and very thin, reducing the risk of dirt and wind getting into your eyes.
