🍽️ 2-Inch Slow Feed Hay Net by Shires Review

Much more than the Derby originals. I don't know how I managed without it! I've saved myself a lot of rubbish. And my goats love it! No problem if their horns get stuck!

My Clydesdale mixes grass hay with shavings in his stall. This hay net is strong enough for its huge teeth and strong ripping power Net stays in. I have ordered 2 more for a few other horses in the stable.

Main net is ok but VERY DOWN from the tying material which is a short step above the laces with loose metal threads! With our 3 horses it would never stand. Neither the product description nor the photo indicate that the tie is not a cord or rope. Luckily we salvaged the cord from the old nets we replaced.

Both nets are red (easy to spot) to slow down my two fast eating mares. They work great, it takes her several hours to eat what she would eat in about half an hour. I like them so much I plan on buying two more so I have two ready for the stable and two ready for when I need them in the paddock.

Holds about 1/2 bale of hay. My horses are very picky about hay nets but I have had one for over 2 years and it is still completely intact. The bottom ring is a good hanging anchor. Seems like a good mesh for slowing my boys down without driving them mad when trying to get hay. I just ordered 2 more.

They are great I bought 3 of these. I wish I knew how well they work had I bought them a few years ago! They keep my three greedy horses from fighting over hay and let them eat more slowly and at a more natural pace. 40 inch nets will keep them entertained for 12 hours or more when full. I am very happy with this purchase.
