The problem was that my camera's flash was not fully working due to the small gap between the Pulse and the camera base. This adapter solved the problem. And to make it perfect, an extra adapter was included. The total cost of this modification was less than $20.

I have and have used various cold boots. I literally got it yesterday and haven't had a chance to use it yet. But this cold boot seems well made and I'll use it on my flash mount for the next photo. I've had bad experiences with the flash falling out of the hot shoe - luckily the flash cable from the camera kept the flash from falling to the ground.

I bought a similar product from another brand and had to return it because my flashes didn't match the shoes. So I ordered 4 or this product. It's well made and I was able to move my flashes easily and my flashes fired easily and they were securely attached. The added thread adds to the versatility and overall this is a quality product. There were a lot of headaches before we tried to force Flash into poorly made products, so it's great when something works as expected.

I was looking for something to hold my flash firmly on the tripod, but there should be a warning that if you screw it in too tight, the electronic connections at the base of the flash will be bent. I can use the flash remote but it no longer works on my camera due to broken pins. Shame to ruin a $400 flash! Be very careful when you buy this! I would have liked a warning on the packaging.
