I love this shield. It gets very dark in the bright Texas sun, but if you look through it all looks clear. The transition time from light to dark is quite fast. At night the shield is transparent and clearly visible. I want this to be standard on my helmet. This made wearing sunglasses unnecessary.

I like the dark smoke shield for the Shoei RF-1400 Prologue helmet. It's dark enough here that I don't need to wear sunglasses on a sunny day. And it looks pretty cool. My only minor complaint is that the installation isn't exactly intuitive. I watched a youtube video which was very helpful but I also used the instructions that came with the helmet. Definitely worth the price in my opinion!

The "dark" version of my Shoei RF-1400 didn't suit me. This visor is VERY lightly tinted. It helps on sunny days but can be a bit darker as I squint when it's very sunny outside.
