I wanted something to check the charge level of my ship's battery. It does the job well. It's extremely basic, but for what I use it for, it's perfect.

This product meets my needs - I only needed the product on my boat to check on the battery status and current flow status and does a great job of making it easy to read in a compact form.

I really like this thing. I use batteries and an inverter for my fishing lights. I needed to know how much charge my batteries had to know how long they would last. That works great. A bright LED indicates battery and charging system voltage.

The blue panel has a handy magnet on the back so you can attach it to your car while testing. The black wire has a small alligator clip to connect it to the black (negative) battery post and the red wire has a probe to touch the red (positive) battery post. .

This device allows you to quickly check the battery level, good or fair, but there is no percentage display. Be careful, if the reading reads "fair" it could also mean that your battery has lost most of its capacity. We got caught thinking we had enough juice to swim to shore but ended up paddling! Buy a unit that shows as a percentage or something that shows you a numeric value!
