Best Jacket I've Ever Owned

I'm 6'0", 180 lbs. The oversized jacket is perfect for me. This is the first time I've been able to ride to work without a sweat. soggy at It feels quality in everything, from the ease with which you can control the pit zips to the way you can leave the cuffs open for extra ventilation in the crotch when needed sleeves.Did 6 miles to work in pouring rain the first week I had it and my top half was completely dry.Worth every penny.

Better packaging but don't expect it to work like GoreTex Hardshell

I had two Showerespass jackets. The first was 15 years ago and the outer material was much better. More like an ArcTeryx hardshell. A new jacket packs up well and will keep you relatively dry, but even with proper care, these jackets get wet pretty quickly. It's fine for an hour-long trip, but it's not the kind of jacket you buy if you expect to withstand continuous rain all day. To do this, you need to go through your wallet in search of premium items.

All the best for the active

Finally a breathable (at least waterproof) raincoat that's long enough to wear my waterproof pants (and has a fold-down tail). so he STILL overlaps them when I'm in the dropbars!) and has long enough arms that I never have a gap between my sleeves and my gloves! Wind/rain outside or open for extra ventilation. The rear zip pocket is easily accessible without removing the jacket (and is ideally placed to store the battery for my Light and Motion Stella helmet). The zippered pockets can be opened

Pros
  • Clothing, shoes and jewelry
Cons
  • There are problems

Great for quiet riding and wet riding

I've just bought my second Showers Pass Elite jacket so this review is based on the one I've been using for a number of years. a jacket when it is dry and the temperature falls below 50, or when it rains or drizzles below 70. Above that it seems it's getting too hot. I use it as an outer shell for midwest fall/winter/spring rides. I've used it on trips down to -17F with two coats underneath and it's been fine. Typical riding conditions when I wear this are 15-40F in 10-20 mph wind. I'm a slow…
