Easiest, cleanest way to solder

These solder sockets are perfect for what I use them for, acoustic and electric guitar wiring. When heat is applied, the tube contracts and compresses the wire shield tightly before the solder ring melts and fuses the wire joint. There is no chance of hot solder getting into the guitar or the sound hole. I have used this product in 3 guitars so far with 100% success. I stick to a few sizes and will use this soldering method whenever possible.

I'm not saying the product is bad, I'm just having issues with its operation. I used both high and low settings on the heat gun to remove the paint. Everything seems to be working, but the wire insulation starts to melt before the solder melts. If I stop and pull the wires, I'll break them. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I went

The easiest way was to simply cut each set of two wires, strip the ends about 0.25 inch, place an Electriduct connector on the wires, reverse the polarity and twist the stripped ends together, place the connector on the joined wires and to heat. hair dryer connections. Bought a blow dryer a few years ago for another project; I'm amazed at how many times I've used it. You can…
