Broken in two places

Let me start by saying that I have an 85 lb boy. When he sees a squirrel, he likes to chase it. We have to leash him while hiking because he hasn't learned to come back after a chase. He broke this line in two places 3 days into our trip while chasing a squirrel. Not only did he break the clip that held the line to the tree, but he also broke the metal loop that held the second clip to the line. I wasn't sure if it would be strong enough to hold him and unfortunately it wasn't. His collar…
