💧 Sierra International 18-3517, Water Pump Kit: Efficient and Reliable Water Pump Solution Review

I replaced a worn impeller that had come loose from the brass hub. This kit includes all gaskets, metal body and base plate. Ideal!

First one ordered and installed lasted about 1-1/2 years. I just installed it three months ago. There are already problems. He pulled out the lower block and found that the impeller was deformed. Including pictures. Back to Genuine Mercury Marine Parts. Too much work for just three months.

I ordered this for my Mercury 150 series seawater engine. I haven't installed the kit yet, but looking at the parts that came with it, I noticed that the kit doesn't come with an impeller wrench like all other complete kits and rebuild kits usually come with it. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not, but I need to reuse an already installed key. I will post an update after installation.

I did some cross referencing and tried it on my 175hp Mercury outboard motor. 1996. I couldn't believe such a low price. The information was correct. Seemed at least as good as the mercury parts and shipping was very quick, like a day! I drive my boat a lot. The water here is very "thin" with abrasives whipped up in the water.
