Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

I use the lens on a Sony camera through an MC-11 adapter. Autofocus and stabilizer work great. Bought as a universal lens for the forest. Type and landscape to shoot in rare clearings and a squirrel without changing the lens. For these tasks, he approached. Here it would be 50-600 in general would be chocolate. Its sharpness is higher than that of all other zoom analogs of the 150-600 type (2 each from Sigma and from Tamron) The main problem is a lot of weight. Like for strength, he's…

Pros
  • optical quality Zoom range Optical stabilizer
Cons
  • The foot is unscrewed only with a hex wrench. Can't be removed without tools. The tripod ring itself is not removable at all.

Pleasantly Surprised

Reviews were unanimous about the sharpness of this lens, so I had high hopes for it. I am happy to report that my expectations have been exceeded. The images are as sharp as my Nikkor lenses. Just one complaint and that this lens is a beast. It's hard and best to tame on a tripod. I use it for wildlife photography and I need a reach so I can start lifting weights.

Autofocus died in 20 minutes

I really wish this would work but the autofocus died after about 35 frames. It takes amazing photos but without autofocus I couldn't save it. After sending it back I found other people had the same problem. Some problems appeared quite quickly, others after a month. All Canon users love me, but people need to know. I urge everyone to NOT heed my advice and investigate this matter for themselves. It was supposed to be my baby but after seeing other people with the exact same problem I couldn't…

Cool lens straight out of the box

Shots taken with a Canon EOS Rebel t7 and a Sigma 60-600 arrived yesterday. These pictures were my first pictures. foo dog's photos were taken from my kitchen table to the landing about 35 feet from me. I am very impressed that the lens captures the colors of the statues in such low light. The bird feeder is about 100 meters away and if you zoom in you can even see the mesh. The plane was about 3-4 miles away from me and I took good pictures of the landing gear. The flag is about 90 meters away

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great lens for any telephoto lens

I use a Canon 5d Mark3 and was looking for a telephoto zoom lens. The Canon 400mm or 600mm equivalent is prohibitively expensive. So I looked for an alternative. I was a bit skeptical about the Sigma (as I only own a whole box of Canon L-series lenses). I took spare change and bought a Sigma 60mm-600mm (after reading all the reviews). After receiving the lens I wasted no time and started photographing all the birds in my garden. To my surprise, the images came out very clear and well focused…

Very impressive lens

I love the versatility of this lens. I've used it for events and was able to take group photos from 15 feet away and get candid shots from across the room. Focusing is quick and the images are clear. Didn't get a chance to shoot sports or wildlife, but it's perfect for events. I used a monopod as it can get heavy after a while. The weight distribution is well balanced and the construction is solid. Also used it to photograph the moon and was very impressed with how much detail it captured. The…
