Works as if you were using native Sony lenses

I use this with my A7 II and it's a great solution for using Canon EF lenses on a Sony FF body. This increases the overall length of the EDF lens by approximately 2.5 cm. I use it with 16-35mm 2.8L, 50mm 1.8 and 85 1.8 lenses. Sony analogues are either too expensive or not that good. Okay, in many cases they're smaller and lighter, but EF lenses are a tried and true commodity, they're plentiful, sharp, and inexpensive. All lenses I've used have the MC11 auto focus very fast, AE works great and…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not bad

Purchased for use with Sigma 50mm 1.8 'red-dot' lens and Sony a7r III. Only manual focus is possible while the lens is attached and the adapter seems to randomly freeze my camera. Can't manage fstop so works like a physical connection but nothing more. Random freezing does not occur with the Sony FE lens that I purchased with the camera. It's convenient, which is why I give it 2 stars. If the autofocus works at all, even slowly like others have said along with fstop, I would give it 4 stars. I…

Pros
  • Available in SA-Sony FE and Canon EOS EF versions-Sony FE
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

It works as described. I bought before.

Works as described. I bought a Sony A6500 and previously bought a Fotodiox adapter that only worked with one of my lenses. After sending it back I had the choice between Sigma MC11 and Metabones. At $150 less I decided to try the Sigma first. The Sigma MC11 works with all my Canon lenses including: EF85/1.8EF35/1.4EF70-200/4EF24-70/2.8 and all focus very quickly in AF-S and AF-C modes. doesn't work with my old Tamron 17-35/2.8-4 and doesn't work well with my old NEX5N which focused with a Canon

Pros
  • offers full electronic lens control including autofocus and aperture selection
Cons
  • I will add later

Works great on the Sony A7R iii

Works great on the Sony A7R iii. Doesn't seem to work on Sony A6000 (very slow autofocus, around 4-5 seconds). Focus speed takes less than a second to lock focus. I noticed that it takes 1-2 seconds to focus when the subject is very far away. Very precise focusing. It works with single-shot autofocus and continuous autofocus. During continuous autofocus, you will hear autofocus noise from the lens autofocus motor. It's quite noisy, but not noticeable unless you're in a quiet area. it disappears

Pros
  • Supports both optical lens stabilizer and camera shake reduction
Cons
  • No Auto
