Silhouette America SILHCUTC Cutting Strip 13 25 Review

I use my Silhouette every day for my online business. One day it stopped cutting through any material I tried. I was about to buy a new $200 machine when customer service told me to try it first. I replaced the cutting strip which took about 5 minutes and no problems since!

Make sure to remove all previous adhesive before applying the new one. I thought I would but didn't take everything off and my mat didn't fit in the car. So when I removed the new molding most of the adhesive was left on the car so I had to buy a new one. It matched my cameo 2 car.

As an advanced cutter user, the cutter bar is an important part to maintain cut quality. Silhouette machines don't need frequent replacements, but if you're cutting vinyl or transferring materials directly to the machine without a cutting mat, it's important to keep this strip in good condition to maintain quality and avoid material damage or waste. . This is a simple 1cm wide plastic strip with adhesive. Silhouette overcharges for interchangeable parts. I've had more trouble with that in the past than with any other. It doesn't stick properly which prevents the mat from loading and effectively renders my cutter useless. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The silhouette should return to the old ones. Just like cutting mats, they change them to replace sake and make them worse.

May fit old models well but too thick for cameo 4. Waste of money if you buy this and try to trim it yourself. If you have a Cameo 4, please purchase the correct version - you can get it directly from the Silhouette website, but make sure you select the correct version at the bottom of the Cutting Strips page. Advice to the seller: Make the correct version for Cameo 4 available on Revain. (Adding a drop down menu on this page to select the correct option would have saved me a lot of trouble.)
