Almost 100% absolutely silent operation.

This fully modular power supply is very resistant to higher temperatures and therefore only rarely has to switch on the fan. In fact, when I say rarely, in my case it almost never is. I thought maybe my fan isn't working, but it just shouldn't be running within normal operating parameters. I have a Ryzen 3900x, 1080 GPU, four DDR-4 modules, Vive Wireless Adapter, M.2 WiFi, NVME and SATA SSD running on an Asrock x570m Pro4 motherboard in a Sliger Cerberus case and even at higher loads the blockโ€ฆ

Quiet and very powerful 700 W power supply in the SFX-L form factor.

Silverstone SST-SX700-LPT-USA is a great 700w PSU. The power supply is fully modular and the cables are easy to manage. I used this particular model in an ITX build paired with a 10700k and 2080 super graphics card. The power supply copes perfectly with the performance requirements of the processor and graphics card. One thing that the buyer should note is that the fan in the PSU does not spin when it is on. The fan only turns on when a certain temperature is reached in the power supply. Soโ€ฆ

Trash Fixtures

Bought 2 of these and they were both unreliable. Wouldn't include any of my components. However, when I used my 450W ATX PSU, my build worked fine. Silverstone must stay with the fans. I have no idea how this got the platinum certification. They must have carefully selected the devices they send in for review because they don't even deserve a bronze rating.

Louqe Ghost S1 and Cooler Master NR200 approved

I was a bit hesitant to buy this unit after reading negative reviews about several SilverStone power supplies but I had no problems using it to test both Louqe Ghost S1 and and on Cooler Master NR200. The first thing to note is that since it's an SFX-L, you'll have less space to manage your cables anyway. flat variety and more like what Corsair uses in their SFX line.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great power delivery for my build

I need some more power for my mITX Ryzen build as I plan to add an AIO cooler and a more powerful graphics card in the near future. This should cover everything I can throw without problems. After a few months of use, the power supply is mostly quiet, the fan doesn't turn up unnecessarily.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Good PSU but seems to be a fan issue

It was easy to install in a Tower 100 although it doesn't come with an ATX adapter bracket so be sure to buy one. I noticed that it turns up quite loudly at half load and often switches between two different speeds. The other issue is that the fan makes a rapid clicking noise, which leads me to believe it's either rubbing against something or has a bearing issue. I thought it was my GPU for a few weeks and did so many things until I finally realized the problem was with the power supply. 2 days

Fan blades touched something from time to time

Fan blades slightly rubbed against something inside. There didn't seem to be any issues, but the fan was very annoying, turning it on and off. I was able to fix this by loosening one of the fan screws a quarter turn. After that the noise level was ok. The design needs to be improved with a large tolerance for variations in the dimensions of the fan.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Something to add
