Review on πŸ”Œ SilverStone SST-SX700-LPT-USA 700W SFX-L Power Supply - Silent 120mm Fan, Fully Modular Cable, Low 36dBA Noise, SX700-LPT-USA by Brian Edwards

Almost 100% absolutely silent operation.

This fully modular power supply is very resistant to higher temperatures and therefore only rarely has to switch on the fan. In fact, when I say rarely, in my case it almost never is. I thought maybe my fan isn't working, but it just shouldn't be running within normal operating parameters. I have a Ryzen 3900x, 1080 GPU, four DDR-4 modules, Vive Wireless Adapter, M.2 WiFi, NVME and SATA SSD running on an Asrock x570m Pro4 motherboard in a Sliger Cerberus case and even at higher loads the block fan keeps the Power supply just shouldn't work. The only fans I hear are the CPU and chipset fans. I am very happy with the purchase and will most likely buy again in a future build. The smaller size of this SFX-L power supply gives me a lot more installation flexibility and really opens up space to work inside the case. Due to the extreme flexibility of the Sliger Cerberus (the best case I've ever bought) I installed the PSU in the front of the case, drawing in outside air and expelling it through the top of the case. Natural convection in this position contributes to quiet operation. If I had to buy another power supply today, I would take exactly the same model.
