It took 10 times longer to pull my hard drive out of the old case than to put it in this one. Installation was literally instant. Ten seconds later it was ready to use. I am very impressed with the thought that went into this product. Of course, it has the right specifications to realize the speed improvement over USB 3.0. To get full speed you need both a USB 3.0 connection and support for the 6GB SATA drives that this product has.

I used a Western Digital WD5000AAKS WD Caviar Blue drive. I found the case too flexible to function as a dummy jack as intended. Also, there are no alignment pins or other surfaces to precisely align the connectors on the hard drive and chassis. I hope they can improve the build as I needed some of these and bought this one to see how it goes. it worked. So far it hasn't worked reliably for me.
