This junk is like an expensive toy. That's the screws together. But it was so poorly made that one of the recording parts was torn off. So it has to go in the trash. I've bought many other similar floor lamps, mostly from Ikea, and they still work. I took a risk and regretted it.

Ordered 3 of them, only one was intact and fully functional. One didn't have the 2nd rod screwed in from the bottom, the thread gap was almost so big that the male part of the rod could almost get into the first rod. Another had no nut for the plastic cover on the adjustable headlight. There doesn't seem to be any quality control at this company. So be careful, there is a 66% chance you won't get a properly working one.

I have something nice to say as I will be keeping this lamp. Don't expect high quality. Mine arrived with dents so I didn't even have to worry about them! It's not the point and you really can't see it up there, but honestly. The lamp guide is about as thin as a thick children's pencil. Don't expect this lamp to withstand children or pets and it has a slant. You need to correct it from time to time. But beyond that, it lights up the room at 60W, which in this case is the maximum you can use. I…

Lamp does the job. I use a very bright bulb upstairs to light up the entire room and dim the bulb downstairs so I can relax and read on the sun lounger downstairs. My search for a Torchiere floor lamp ended in this brushed nickel lamp. Unplug the base, insert the bulb and turn it on. It did not work. After 48 years in the construction industry I am fortunate to be able to repair most things. After disassembling the lamp head, I found that one of the wires was not connected to the lamp base screw. UPDATED 2 MONTHS IN ---- DO NOT BUY This lamp began to have electrical problems that are unrelated had to do with light bulbs or plugs. Flickering, strange noises are a clear sign of a fire hazard. I've tried different bulbs and tested the socket with a meter and it's clear the bulb was the problem. The three way light also stopped working and only turned on/off. Received, tried to assemble twice, same result - 2 vertical leg sections just slipped together, can't twist and tighten, internal threads too small or external threads too small Great. It literally tilts/folds.
