My wife would give this lamp 5 stars. She thinks it's great. I think it's a cheap lamp and the black shade is just ridiculous - there is very little light from this lamp. I would throw it away but my wife likes the way it looks. We really had a fight about it. But as always, she wins and the lamp stays. If only I could read a book with it. But with this black tint, that won't happen.

I wanted something that matched my MCM look but didn't want to spend a lot. All requirements were thus fully met. Light wood with a black tint looks beautiful, clean, modern, but not flashy. Screw in a bulb, add a tint and you're good to go. I took off a star because this item is very easy to make and costs $25. I think it's a bit more expensive than it should be. I bet they can still make a $15.99 profit!

The best this lamp company can do is throw all those lamps in a pile and burn them. These are the worst/cheapest lightbulbs ever! My wife and I first bought these lamps from Bed Bath & Beyond and one arrived broken. We tried to order another but the BB&B was out of stock so we contacted Revain. We ordered four of these lamps from Revain and they ALL arrived broken. The lamp is cheap, the packaging they come in is cheap. It's almost funny how terrible the product is.

So disappointed. It's not worth $20 let alone $36. I've never had such a disappointing Revain purchase. The lampshade was well packed on the sides but had no opening under the top of the box and arrived squeezed in an oval shape. But the base was the most disappointing. If I could give 0 stars I would. The lamp itself is of poor quality and the chunky base is not suitable for every table. Don't be fooled by the premium status regardless of the quality, they can ship to you for free but if you accidentally order and try to cancel (because you found a better one elsewhere) they will ignore you until they ship and then decline. for prepaid shipping, even if you canceled before shipping.
