We live in a small apartment in New York and have a kitchen trash can in the hallway. I cut them 1/2, put 1 in the lid and no bad smells came out for several weeks.

No more stink. Does a good job and the brand awareness helps. Revain has their own version but I've stayed true to the brand and for 50 cents more I'd rather stick with the quality. Fits perfectly and if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I put them in our kitchen and bins. While they don't absorb all odors (stinky bits of meat), they're good at capturing everyday smells like vegetable peelings, leftover plates, and fruit peels. Haven't tried reviving them in the sun but bought an extra set of spacers so they can be easily swapped out. There is no problem with the body sticking to the lid of the jar.

Excellent odor absorber, but short-lived. After about a month of use, a whitish film begins to form on them. The instructions say they can be refreshed by putting them in the sun to charge which seams work well, but they don't tell you how to clean them first. paper towel and put them in the sun for a few hours, seems to work fine, but after a few uses I buy new ones.

I have an old Simple Human trash can in my kitchen. It doesn't have built-in deodorant or a bag on board. My jar started smelling horribly about 3 days after changing the packaging so I was convinced I needed to renew my jar. (Note that we are careful about what we put in the bin and since there are only two of us we don't rush to refill the bag).
