If the corners are overtightened, the plastic will break apart. I taped a piece back only to snap the other piece off. I don't mind buying plastic, but for $20 you'd think if people tightened it two ways they'd make it heavier! But he's kinda lame! I'm not the type to return items, but if like me you want extreme angles, I wouldn't recommend this product. If you must have it, put it on very lightly! I will keep looking for a product that works!

Greetings to the seller. It should be clearly stated that this is an FDM 3D printed product and not an injection molded product. Probably enough for indoor use. Unlikely for outdoor installation. In my expert opinion, low resolution 3D printing does not replace the finish and features of consumer products (I actually own a high quality 3D printer). So Simplisafe doesn't sell this which is a big disappointment. Some other companies have this type of mount as standard or at least as an option directly from the company. This camera mount certainly fits, but for what and how much it probably costs to make, it's overpriced, hence a star deduction. If the price doesn't bother you, then by all means take it. But given that I bought 2 cameras for $100 from a Simplisafe flash sale, buying 2 mounts for about $50 doesn't seem like such a good deal…

Why the hell can't simplisafe sell such camera mounts, I really don't understand. This thing is easy to install and does exactly what you need it to do: wall mount your simplisafe camera and let it set a precise 3-axis viewing angle. However, it's clearly 3D printed in a man's garage.
