Bobbin case rattles on my Janome 350e

I have a set of Simthread embroidery threads that I find very valuable. Unfortunately, pre-wound plastic Class 15 (90 weight) spools do NOT have the same dimensions as Janome spools, although both are classified as 'Class 15'. My Janome 350e bobbin area started rattling at high speed and I couldn't figure out why (I clean under the needle plate and change needles frequently and use Madiera, Floriani and Simthread embroidery threads) until I finally compared and found the two that the Simethread

This thread is trash

I ran out of pre-wound bobbins and saw that there were really good reviews for Sim Thread. Also some people in several embroidery groups swear by it. So I bought prewound bobbins. Oh god, I've never had so many bobbin thread problems in my life. I worked making key fobs - key fobs with light stitching and they broke and tangled. Now I sometimes have problems after putting the coil in for the first time, so don't hesitate. But no. I spent all morning with a broken bobbin thread. Again and again…

  • Sewing supplies and supplies
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Extremely thin, doesn't stretch well,

Pro- cheap, strong ThreadCon-very thin and slippery, the spool doesn't stretch well and pulls on the upper thread. played with tension (often prewound bobbin thread is thinner than top or normal bobbin thread. I was hoping to avoid winding problems and uneven winding). It's not the worst, but you want the thread to work. They say you get what you pay for, but oddly this was "expensive" compared to other cheap prewound coils in the sense that it's so finicky I just don't trust it on my projects.
