Inexpensive construction - breaks easily within minutes.

This twin needle is terrible. I ordered it and within minutes of sewing the collar onto the shirt, one of the needle points broke off. I gave him reason to doubt and bought another one and the same thing happened in just a few minutes. It was sewn perfectly on the sleeves and hem, but it couldn't be used (properly) to topstitch the neckline. So disappointing. I asked for a refund at that moment. A $9 pin shouldn't be so cheap that it breaks in minutes. So upset!

Pros
  • 1 needle per pack, gauge: 4.0 mm
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Disappointing!

Sew 2 plain knit skirts and waited for a needle (size 80/11) to hem them. Used elastic knitwear of light and medium density. Arrived in the mailbox - and set up was easy enough. I slowly sewed one of the skirts as this was a new experience for me and the hem turned out beautifully. There were about 7 inches left when the needle broke! I had to use a straight stitch to complete the hem. i am not new I have been sewing for over 40 years and have never had a needle break on the first try.…

Pros
  • Often used for hemming stretch fabrics
Cons
  • Damaged

Tears on first stitch

I wonder why this product has so many positive and negative reviews. i am negative I tried this on my 4-way stretch athletic wear while trying to zig zag the ribs on a Singer machine. I hit the needle down button without even trying to start a stitch and bang! He hit the gum and it was done. Instead, I made a zigzag on the elastic with no problem. I bought two twins, so I decided to hem the second one with a narrow zigzag stitch as well. No elastic, only fabric folded once. She went through…

Pros
  • Makes two rows of stitches at the same time
Cons
  • Does not perform
