I was very excited to get this. I use Toddy Coffee's cold brew system which is great for iced coffee but very difficult to get a nice hot cup. The first flavor I tried was crème brûlée, and there was a subtle burnt taste that I attributed to the brûlée. Today I used a vanilla bean and the same burnt flavor. I am writing this review less than 3 hours after receiving my new coffee maker. My old one, about two years old and unbranded, has served me well but expired last week.
