Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Polished SK Hand Tool 8809

SureGrip Drive Design drives the side of the fastener, not the corner, to provide increased strength. The exclusive SK SuperKrome finish means more than great looking wrenches. It is a SK Hand Tool Product.

still has quality. Adheres firmly to the union nuts. Like it a lot

Simple straight wrench but well made and works well for flare nuts. Used to remove brake hoses from brake lines. Coverage and processing are very good. I recommend this 9 x 11mm wrench. I didn't buy a set but I reckon a set of these is as good as a key.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some little things

Not what it used to be

I grew up in a family that was heavy on machine shops and SK tools used to be one of the highest quality brands (which were affordable) and I have this wrench bought to do some braking work. During use, it was noticed that this wrench had a large kink, so the brake line could not be removed and the SS cover came off after one use. Wouldn't recommend it to any friend.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great fit but questionable finish.

The 11mm end I needed was a perfect fit. The brake line attachment easily broke (PB blaster helped). No rounds etc. So, a wrench was worth buying but I disagree with a premium tool with surface issues. Straight out of the bag I noticed that the finish doesn't look as good as some older SK tools I have. Attached is a photo of the interior of the 11mm tip after a single use. Then, and most importantly, there is a small rough spot on the grip (right in front of the logo). I'm not sure how itโ€ฆ
