The straps are not tight enough for my narrow legs. I've bought a dozen of these over the years and this is the first time I've had this problem.

I left these shoes by the back door for easy access when I go outside. Within a week they shrunk a few sizes and curled up. I had to give them up. I assumed they would be more durable and last longer out in Florida.
