I bought a commemorative book as a gift: the nature of the book really called for a sophisticated, understated presentation. This box fits perfectly. Unfortunately there were no locking magnets in my box so I worked very, very hard to make the bow even and secure. I'm still happy about the gift, but magnets would make my life easier.

This was just what I needed to create my bridesmaid boxes. They are very durable, comfortable to hold and all gifts will be placed in them. Very easy to build and looks very elegant for a gift. The included ribbons and stickers are a nice touch. The only downside is that the boxes sometimes don't stay closed as others have mentioned, but if they're taped shut that's not a problem.

As mentioned in other reviews, the magnetic clasp does not work. The box can only be closed with adhesive tape. I use it to store napkin rings that I don't use very often, so this will work. But I was hoping that I wouldn't need any tape at all. It's not easy to stretch the band enough to close the lid completely. If I used it as a gift box, it would be annoying.

The product description says "Charcoal Grey". I saw it before ordering and even if I hadn't, any misunderstanding would be on my conscience. I would just like to point out that the box looks black in the pictures, but that is not the case. The black is actually dark grey. I was hoping it would look more like the picture but I saw where they said "grey". Don't knock the product, just try to help other buyers. Otherwise I am satisfied with the box.
