I also like to listen to podcasts/lectures at these events and just need good headphones that are of a certain length. They are perfect for that. I do NOT use them while exercising - I use a different style for that. But I wear them in my ears ALL DAY while I'm working on the computer. I can't wear in-ear headphones, but I LOVE THESE. I have to say that I did a lot of research before I decided to buy another headphone. I really wanted something with a microphone, but I also wanted something with at least adequate sound. It's phenomenal! I had a pair of Skull Candy in ear headphones as I tend to have hearing issues and they were great too, they lasted quite a while. The headphones are very comfortable. I had a concern that the material used to hold them securely in the ear will be similar to Apple's and they aren't very good.

I think my ears are deformed or something but I can't get the earbuds to stay in the headphones, especially my right ear. I put them in, move them around, change attachments and they just fall out. I bought these because they don't go in the ear canal. They were comfortable for a short time but I have small ears so after a while they started to hurt. My main issue was that the cover that covered the electronics inside the earbud itself kept falling off. As the name suggests I'm pretty sure they're fake but they work. Either Skull Candy doesn't really want to sell them so they make them as cheap as possible or they sold the rights to make them to a guy in his garage I'm not sure but the materials start to fall apart once you do take them out of the packaging.
