Review on 🎧 Skull Candy S3FXDM209 Earbud Headphones by Melissa Moore

I really want Skull Candy to return these discontinued headphones. They were sold as part of the 'Fix' line and fixed the problems they were having. I can't stand earbuds that push into the ear canal, as well as most large headphones that push against the outside of the ear. These hook onto the outer ear and have a very thin profile so they don't pinch or deform my ear in any way. They just hang there, securely fastened (it hurts a bit when I get snagged on the cord because they can't get out of the downward pressure. My dropped phone will be hanging in my ears!). And they sound great - they would be my favorite headphones for that alone. I enjoy listening to everything from metal to folk to business calls and they work great. Cons: They are a little fragile. For comparison, I once had headphones that I carried in my backpack for about 5 years as a student. I don't think any of my Skull Candy Fix lasted more than 6 months, some only 1 or 2. The front of the speaker is falling off. Sometimes I can stick it back; sometimes it kills the sound. Also, the built-in controls only work with Apple products. They still work like regular headphones on Android or PC, but you can't take calls, use the microphone, or adjust the volume in real time. Otherwise I would have an extra pair to use with my computer (I still use them with my computer sometimes despite these limitations). They are not suitable for all ears. The ears are very specific. I knew other people who tried them and immediately found them uncomfortable. Me and another friend think they're the most comfortable headphones we've ever tried. What's frustrating is that most headphones are going in the direction of round in-ears, which irks me. If you like this style, there are dozens if not hundreds of models out there. So please don't say these suck because they don't. For those of us they work for, they work really well. Please, Skull Candy, bring her back!
