Thank you to the Skylanders franchise for releasing another game and for emptying my wallet because my son MUST have all the characters. You make your parents cry. I have bought every Skylander starter set in the last 2 years and this set has the most items. Of course you need them all to play, but I'm glad Activision included the necessary parts. However, the game has lost its luster and it looks like the developers are in incremental mode. Great idea for a game. My 5 year old son loves the concept and since he doesn't have the mobility to control the characters loves the fact that he can trade players and crystals on the platform. What's included in the starter pack is more than enough, and the game itself is acceptable (if not incredibly easy) for an adult. Then why only three stars? Because the game is flawed as hell. We have at least one crash every hour of gameplay and there are areas of the game that we just can't reach…

Got this for my kids for Christmas. They loved the first Skylanders Swap Force and talked about it all month until Santa came along. Since then we've bought about 10 more "Traps" and a few more Skylanders. They said they could even use and play with their Skylanders on this portal. Make sure you have enough traps.
