Made in China. Says Japanese stainless steel. .but imported to China first. Not on the list I see. My fault for not checking elsewhere first. See photo of packaging.
Compact and sharp cutting edge. Favorite part is the unique nail pusher tool! The best pliers and tying tool you can buy. Please note that nail knots require practice!
I love this thing. SUPER sharp blade cuts like butter. A nail tying tool is essential, and as a bonus, there's a needle file hook!? The perfect little gift you can't be without on the water.
I love this product the only reason I gave it a start was because I wish it came with a training DVD and showed you how to knit exactly after a lot of research. I finally learned how to use it otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
Cutters work great. On the other hand, the nail knot tool is always in the way and too small to tie a nail knot during the creek. I broke mine so all I could do was use wire cutters. Buy wire cutters without a nail tying tool to save some money.
Did you see what I did there? "Knot" is excellent for its price. ok, enough about my clever names. I wasn't too happy with the quality of the edge on the wire cutters. I found where the sharpest edge of the wire cutters is, so I only use that part of the blade.
Wire cutters are very sharp. Effortlessly cuts Ultra Green to a maximum length of .020". I had never tied nails before and easily tied my first knot with this tool using the same .020 inch cord. I can't imagine it getting any easier (although I don't have sausage fingers). Hook sharpener not so great. The "grit" isn't quite right and the placement of the hooks makes sharpening difficult. I only use my sharpener, but I use larger hooks in a pinch. Deduct a star because the hook-eye cleaning pen…
