basically useless

It's weaker than the tire itself. Anything that goes through an old, worn tire goes easily through this stuff - I tested it! On one of my photos a nail with a CUT POINT. I can't put it through a hoop, but it's easy to put through this product. I also show you what kind of thorns are growing around my home in Arizona. It made me completely lose respect for Slime. Do you think we don't realize how useless it is?

Pros
  • Protective sleeves or tires are there to protect your bike tires from punctures
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Easy to fit, will not work with goat heads

I bought 2 pieces. (2 pieces per pack). They were very easy to install and the instructions were very easy to read. I love this product. however, they do not work with goat heads. Right after installing this product, my kids went for a walk and came back 15 minutes later because the tires were flat. I removed the tire and inspected the liner and found that the goat heads had gone through the tread. I had high hopes for this product and now I need to find something else.

Pros
  • One size fits most tire sizes: 12-26 x 1.5″-2.125″
Cons
  • Weight

Pipe protectors are definitely worth it.

Due to age and use I have had to replace my old pipe protectors. They literally crumbled and fell out when I was changing tubes on my mountain bike. I like the Slime products, they are easy to install and place on the rim. The old ones weren't slime brands, but they were 15 years on the bike. During my rides, I deal with large spikes we call goat heads that can easily puncture a tire and tear an inner tube. Protective covers are definitely worth buying.

Pros
  • Provides a physical barrier against nails, spikes and other debris.

These tires are "puncture proof "!

Electric bikers know that breakdowns are quite common and tires need puncture protection. I've tried others with some success, but they were tough and difficult to install. Some cyclists I know don't recommend them. But they are way better than other brands, they are light, flexible and precisely cut to "sit in the tire valley" and not slide off the sidewalls. The absence of additional width greatly facilitates their correct installation. Be careful and order the right size for your bike. I…
