Works great if you know how

No need to mess with drivers, kernel extensions or whatever. To turn this device on and off using Python 3 and the pySerial library: #/usr/bin/env pythonimport serialimport time# Read the pySerial documentation for the serial.tools.list_ports.grep method to identify the correct serial port to find. ('/dev/tty.usbserial-1430', 9600, timeout=1) as ser: ser.write(serial.to_bytes([0xA0, 0x01, 0x01, 0xA2])) time.sleep(1) ser.write( serial.to_bytes([0xA0, 0x01, 0x00, 0xA1]))

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • High price

The drivers have been compressed using a third-party tool that is incompatible with the target Windows platform. Rar, Russian Archive is not regulated and is not a means of virus transmission. Why no ZIP files were used is problematic. Why compress at all? If the developers are so careless with the installation, we assume that the drivers are questionable and probably contain bugs.

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Style 90

Works with USB cables for Windows 10

Tried several of these USB relay modules. If you need to use this with Windows, this option has the least hassle because 1) Windows 10 will find the driver automatically (just plug it in), 2) the driver will be digitally signed and accepted by Windows, and 3) it's easy to control via a Script like PowerShell . I use this to turn off monitors in the office when working remotely. Here is the PowerShell script I use to do this (mine is set to COM3): ---------------- --------------- --- ---[Byte[]]

Works fine on Linux but missing serial number

It seems to work fine on Linux using the CH341 USB serial driver. However, it doesn't have a serial number for USB devices, so using more than one of them on a computer would be a problem: there's no way to tell which device is which, and assign them predictable names/symlinks.

Pros
  • A little above
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works well - cables and connections

Use it with Windows 10 and VBA in Excel to remotely turn the tester's AC power on and off. The only weird thing I've had to deal with is that every time I turn on the relay board I have to first connect to a terminal emulator like TeraTerm or MobaXterm, otherwise the relay commands will be ignored by my VBA program. Sending MODE COMx BAUD=9600 PARITY=N DATA=8 from the command line also works. Shoot a star how i feel instructions instructions would be nice as i spent a day getting this to work…

Windows Python script to enable this USB relay

# Python script to enable this USB relay. # Make sure to run the following command once from the Windows command line # before running this script if # the pyserial module is not already installed. # This allows Python to communicate with your COM ports. Port, connect your relay to a USB port on your computer. # Now go to Device Manager in Control Panel. # Look in Device Manager in the "Com ports" section, unplug the relay and plug it back in. # Com The port, which disappears from the list when

Supplied in an outer sealed ziplock consumer bag and an inner silver ESD bag. The package contained a minidisk with drivers and software. The design dates back to 2013 and features a more reliable CH340 USB-to-serial converter chip because FTDI released drivers that blocked third-party clones of their chip. which makes the entire FTDI market suspicious. You never know if you have a "secure" USB-to-serial chip or you're just one step away from being bricked with the official FTDI driver due to a
