Optimized Small Pet Select Alfalfa Hay Pet Food Review

Small Pet Select is the only brand I buy for my rabbits. They're regularly given a fruit mix and a second patch of timothy grass, and alfalfa is a hit as an occasional treat. I don't know the taste personally, but the way they eat it, it's great.

I have bought alfalfa hay from many different suppliers at Revain over the past year and this company's hay is by far the best. Not only is the hay fresh, green, and with the perfect stem-to-leaf ratio (with the leaf still attached to the stem!), it's low-dust and not overly compacted. Every box of hay was of the same excellent quality and I have never had any problems.

Second update: This is a random order. One box is good, the other not so good. Save time and hassle and simply order your hay directly from Small Pet Select or find another brand of hay. It's just not worth it! Update: I ordered a second box and it was terrible. It looked like a pile of dead branches and dead leaves. Don't hesitate to order again. Very disappointed First order: Smells very fresh! My rabbit loved it! Would definitely order again.

Our little Pez Basil Snacks rabbit loves hay, pellets and the treats we buy for her from Fresh Pet Select. The vet gives her a certificate that she is healthy because we follow the recommended bunny/rabbit diet and believe this brand will help us achieve her optimal health. It's not the cheapest, but it's handy for us because we have a regular supply to keep them well fed. I think it's fresh but honestly I don't eat it so who knows? Smells fresh.

I buy timothy hay from this company and this was my first time buying alfalfa. I was disappointed with this particular box because it looked like a lot of dry sticks and wasn't as green. My rabbit ate it but he clearly didn't like what I used to buy for him so I bought it for him again. He's an old little man, and he's given some alfalfa to try and hold some weight. The company is really great if you have an issue with any of their products and will work with you to fix it.

I don't have a photo because I was so outraged and traumatized that I threw away a bowl of alfalfa leaves that contained a dead cockroach. Not sure if it was a roach but it looked like a roach except it was a little bigger and red. I hate bugs sooo much but the fact that I unknowingly fed them to my rabbit, thank goodness she didn't touch it. This was my first and last order from this company and it really pains me to say. This is by far the worst hay I have ever seen. It looks like the branches of a dead tree. I must have sustained 3 splinters and a cut trying to get a handful. It smells like sour, moldy socks and my guinea pigs won't touch it. Really sucks as I've been waiting for it to arrive for over a week and now I don't have edible hay for my 6 pigs until I can leave work early enough to try and manage to feed the shop, before they close.
