【STANDARD V-LOCK QR SET】SmallRig Mini V-Lock Assembly Kit MD2801 is a quick release set based on the standard V-Lock, which can securely mount an accessory onto your cage or rig. The kit includes a V-lock base station and a V-lock wedge that interconnect to secure an accessory. 【MOUNTS WITH 2 X 1/4"-20 SCREWS】The base 2801 mounts onto your cage or rig using the two included 1/4"-20 captive screws. The V-shaped wedge mounts onto your accessory, or it can replace the wedge on your V-mount battery. 【MOUNTING THREADS】There are two 1/4-20 mounting holes on the Female V-Dock, and you can attach this assembly directly to a SmallRig camera cage kit, SmallRig monitor frame, or SmallRig shoulder pad mount. The V-Lock with three M3 holes can be used as a replacement of the original V-Lock comes with the V-Mount battery. 【LIGHTWEIGHT & PORTABLE】Weights only 48g, the two components are made from durable aluminum. In addition, you can mount this assembly kit to SmallRig battery hinge MD2802 which is designed for adjusting angle of the battery with this setup to power all the accessories, which minimizes camera weight. 【SWEET DESIGN】It inserts into the base for a secure fit and can be quickly unmounted using the quick release lever on the base. Unreliable V Lock for Cameras

This V lock is a disappointment. Although it's advertised as compatible with many cameras, it barely holds the weight of the electronics. The design is cheaply made and not durable. The only pro I can think of is that it's lightweight, but that's not enough to overlook its flaws. Save your money and invest in a better V Lock.

The quality is good, but there are not enough fasteners.

Don't buy this until you have the type of mounting you want, look for countersunk head screws or flat head mounting screws. Otherwise, it's quite difficult to install the panel without a set of small nuts and bolts. The mini V plate is 4.7mm thick and the countersunk holes are 6.5mm in diameter. I ended up using smaller screws so the gap wasn't an issue. It fits a full size V-Lock, just a "mini" base, the triangular plate fits my existing V-Lock from a light source.
