I have external batteries on my cameras, their adapters protect the outgoing cable, but you still need to be careful when transporting. I took it to "protect" the HDMI connector in the camera, in fact, due to the length of the connector, the protection is nominal, it will rather save from loosening the connector.

Amazing to prevent micro HDMI damage on R5 and R6. Unfortunately I upgraded my cables for 4k60 streaming and this seems to be the weak link in the system. The KondorBlue cable works great on its own, but as soon as it goes through the signal goes in and out. The FHD processing is fine.

I use this with a cage for a Canon EOS M6 Mark II. If you need a connection for your video setup and monitor, get this. Some reviews say they don't like the flexibility around the mounting screws, folks, wake up! It's not that soft and if it were plastic it would tear because the mounting holes are close together creating stress cracks. It's a durable thick rubber and the design is fantastic and well thought out! If it were metal it would increase the cost and look bulky. Even if you bend the cable since it's also thick, it stays very cool in the basic shape you made! SMALLRIG just gets it!
