📱 Enhance Your SmartiPi Touch 2 with the 15mm Back Cover Review

This is an easy to attach tray that fits on the back of the 2nd Gen SmartiPi for Pi-2/3/4. This is the perfect solution for added protection if you have a Pi board with accessories or HAT boards.

This is a great addition to the main case. The ONLY downside I see is that you can't keep and add the original case cooling pad without modifying this case expander. I got it working and overall I'm very happy with the new Octoprint controller I installed for my 3D printer.

It's thick, has plenty of room on the back, and doesn't add much weight to the device. If you want to install a fan there, it is enough to just drill a vent hole. Cheap enough that you don't feel bad. I prefer this to the large back cover as it greatly affects the thickness of the folded screen and affects the corners of the screen when screwed to its large base. No complaints. Easy to assemble and fulfills everything you need.

I was hoping to keep fan usage on the 3B+ test model as I wanted to upgrade to 4 but can't attach this back (wanted to add a breadboard and some others to it ) device) without removing the fan. Overall I think it's a nice touch to add, but when I went to put it in and make sure ARM stays cool I was very disappointed.
