Shop the Best: Running

I love the no-show style of these stylish wool socks. I've bought socks before and I really liked them. They are just as good if not better than the ankle style. I really can't decide which I like better because I like both of them best. They keep my feet in a good ambient temperature when the weather is cold or warm outside. I bought them to use as stuffing for stockings only for them to ask where I bought them and they would wear them too.

Pros
  • Nylon, Spandex, Merino Wool
Cons
  • Working Speed

Great socks, disappointing quality

These socks are very comfortable. Just the right amount of padding, very breathable and the height is just right if you don't want the sock to be over your shoes. Unfortunately, after only putting them on once, a hole began to open right at the toe seam. For the price of these socks I expect a higher quality and more durable product. I was planning to buy more given how much I like the feel and fit, but if they fall apart after one use then there's no way they're worth the money. Veryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Machine washable
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

The best socks in the world!

Well, I must confess. Almost all my socks are made of Smartwool. A friend introduced me to them years ago and I've never looked back. They will keep your feet happy and healthy and give you many years of pleasure. If you already own Smartwool socks, then you know this review and probably aren't reading it. If you're thinking of buying a pair, give them a shot, you won't be disappointed! I personally find that the lightest weight I like to carry is "Light". The "ultra light" ones are too thinโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Height: 1.75 inches
Cons
  • No

Good cushioning, stable in place, good seamless sock

I bought another pair of running socks for $17 (Swiftwick) that I didn't like as much as these. Both offer good cushioning, but the other pair's supposedly near-seamless toe box is still very rubbery. I don't feel these Smartwools it seems. There is a special elastic in the middle of the sock that wraps snugly around your foot to keep the socks from moving, which helps a lot as the extra padded heel and toe areas slide a bit in the shoe. They're a little more expensive than the benefit I getโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Weight: light
Cons
  • Very expensive

My husband was hesitant but found these socks cost $

a thousand steps a day. His feet hurt (and smell). He usually buys socks in packs of 6 and is happy with the savings. He giggled when I told him how much I paid for a pair of fluffy wool socks to "try it out". However, after wearing a trial pair for a day, he admitted the shocks were really worth the money. He only noticed that the seam on the old socks bothered him when he tried these socks on. He said the cushioning was better than the soft insert. I. Now his feet don't smell anymore. I haveโ€ฆ
