💁 Enhance Your Lashes with Smashbox Photo Finish Lash Primer Base - 0.30 Ounce Review

I have tried many different eyelash primers but Smashbox is by far the best. This primer doubled my lashes in both thickness and length! Instead of fiddling with false lashes, which are super difficult to apply, they can embarrassingly fall into your soup at a romantic dinner (laughs) and otherwise cause headaches to use and care for (and sometimes lead to eye infections - ugh). I combine this Smashbox foundation with the equally amazing It's Real mascara and my lashes are AMAZING in length and

I've been using this primer for over 5 years now. My mascara goes on smoother and my lashes look thicker and longer when I put it on first. Without foundation, my lashes look dull and thin and the mascara doesn't look as dark.

makes eyelashes look longer. Like a bright white so you can see through the lashes but not so white that it shows through. I use a lot less mascara now and have more defined lashes.

I have used Smash Box Eyelash Primer before and have never had a problem with it. But this version is terrible. I don't like the plastic brush at all. It has two sections, one for applying primer and one with long bristles for separating the lashes. But I keep poking my eyes, trying to get close enough to my lashes. The plastic bristles don't hold enough primer to brush my lashes properly. If I hadn't thrown the box away, I would have sent it back. Needless to say I will not purchase this…

I am surprised by all the great reviews and wonder if I got a fake. This is the worst lash primer I've ever used. Six hours after application, the mascara was almost completely gone from the lower lashes. In fact, my mascara stays on better when I don't wear it at all. Super disappointed.

When I first received the new packaging and brush I was convinced I didn't like them. (I tend to resist change!). However, I decided to give it a try and took out my brush and actually looked at it under a magnifying glass. When I saw how the bristles are arranged on the brush, I realized that this actually improved the brush's functionality and helped me achieve the look I wanted. Now I wouldn't want it any other way.
