I used this to get rid of the smoke smell in my car when I was quitting smoking. And it works. I don't know if that also works with a heavily smoked car. But it worked for me. I took the grapefruit, I really liked it.

Not sure about durability yet, but so far on first use it has eliminated the smoke smell from a sofa that has been in Smokey's house for decades. It was a leather sofa in perfect condition that had just broken. But this material almost completely, if not completely, removed the smoke.
