Not for Mini Cooper S

If you have a Mini Cooper S this is NOT FOR YOU! They are absolutely too big to use. Even though they've shown they fit, believe me, they don't. I didn't ask for a refund, I just tossed it in a tool box and drove to a BMW/Mini dealer and bought it there for only $2.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • boring package

Perfection (except price)

Invest in the best stainless steel screws for a lifetime. They look way better than any license plate screws I've seen. It's hard to believe I paid that much for it but the price was competitive for online products and I got free shipping. Just make sure it's what your car needs - there are other fastening systems that use bolts instead of screws, and don't over-tighten.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Only available in black

A little longer, but it worked out well.

They were a little longer than the standard OEM license plate screws on my Acura, but still worked well as the screw and thread otherwise matched. Now it looks a lot sharper than the old rusty bolts I had before. Those who complain that they are "screws" are probably because they are not used to seeing the coarse threads used in most plastic license plate holders.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Nothing

Remember that "one size doesn't fit all ".

I'm sure they would work great if I could use them. Little did I know when I ordered a new license plate bracket and individual screws that there seems to be more than one size screw for mounting license plates. They were too big and didn't fit where they needed to go. I'm only posting this review so that others who didn't know that "one size bolts don't fit all license plate brackets" are aware of this situation. Before changing holders, check what size you are currently.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Epic Fail (size, style and more)

It's not just the screws that are wrong! Think about it. Does a wood screw go into metal or plastic? The answer is no. 2 stars because I was able to force them. It took a while and I crashed my car and I was sweaty but now they are in place and working perfectly. It was supposed to be a hassle-free process, but it was far from it! (Is it worth spending a lot of money for 4 screws!? Short answer: no!) Another company just trying to make money (marketing) from people who are too lazy to write…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Compatibility
